We couldn’t address new campaigns and adverts this month without mentioning some of the wonderful Christmas adverts that have been released.
Join us as we take a closer look at a few of our favourite industry updates from November in our latest creative round-up…
Notonthehighstreet festive advert encourages buying from small businesses
Notonthehighstreet released their first TV advertising campaign in three years, focusing on the importance of supporting small businesses over the festive season.
Following a national shift towards supporting local businesses, the advert taps into this while promoting the message of cherishing the simple moments of connection that have become even more important this year.
We think it’s great that they’ve incorporated this message and hope it raises awareness of small businesses this festive period.
‘No naughty list’ in Tesco’s Christmas advert
In a bid to reflect the mood of the country, Tesco’s new advert encourages shoppers to forget about all that’s happened in 2020 and enjoy the treats that the festive period brings.
The tagline: ‘After this year, there is no naughty list’ acknowledges the strain that 2020 has placed on many people and aims to be light-hearted, fun and uplifting. We think it’s great how Tesco have approached this and it’s just what everyone needs this year.
Kevin the Carrot returns
November also saw the return of the well-loved Kevin the Carrot in Aldi’s Christmas advert . Following the trend of animated adverts, this is the fifth year that Kevin has made his appearance at Christmas.
Kevin made his debut in the 2016 Christmas ad and has continued to grow in popularity since. We’re thrilled to see Kevin back on our screens and it wouldn’t be the same without him.
